How to Overcome Doubt and Keep Going When You Feel Like Quitting

How to Overcome Doubt and Keep Going When You Feel Like Quitting

Have you ever started something new and exciting, only to feel like giving up after a few weeks or months?

Maybe you bought a course, joined a mentorship, or launched a business, but then you started questioning yourself.

Do you really know what you’re doing? Is this for you? Are you wasting your time and money?

If you can relate to this, then this blog post is for you.

I’m going to share with you my personal experience of dealing with doubt and how I decided to keep going instead of quitting.

How Doubt Affects Me

I recently joined an online training and mentorship program that I thought would help me grow as a person and as an online entrepreneur.

I was so excited and motivated when I started, but after a few weeks, I began to doubt myself.

I started questioning why I bought this mentorship in the first place.

Was it worth the investment? Was it the right fit for me? Did I really need it?

I also started comparing myself to others who seemed to be doing better than me. They had more followers, more sales, more testimonials. They looked more confident, more successful, more happy.

I felt like I was falling behind, like I was missing something, like I was doing something wrong.

I felt like quitting.

How I Overcame Doubt and Kept Going

But before I made any rash decisions, I decided to take a step back and reflect on my situation.

Here are some of the things that helped me overcome doubt and keep going:

  • Remind myself of my why: I revisited my goals and my reasons for joining the mentorship program. I reminded myself of what I wanted to achieve and why it mattered to me.

  • Review my progress: I looked back at how far I had come since I started the program. I acknowledged my achievements and celebrated my wins, no matter how big or small.

  • Seek feedback: I reached out to my mentors and peers for guidance and support. I asked for their honest opinions and suggestions on how I could improve and grow.

  • Adjust my expectations: I realized that success is not linear or instant. It takes time, effort, and patience. I accepted that there will be ups and downs, challenges and setbacks, failures and lessons.

  • Rekindle my passion: I rediscovered what made me passionate about what I was doing. I focused on the value I was creating, the impact I was making, and the joy I was feeling.

Don’t Quit, Don’t Stop

So if you’re feeling like quitting something or stopping something, don’t quit, don’t stop.

Maybe take a few hours off, maybe take a day, and then reflect on your situation.

Make a decision based on your values, not your emotions. Whatever decision you make, it’s okay.

Just remember that doubt is not a sign of weakness.

It’s a sign of growth.

It means that you’re stepping out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself to do something new and different.

And that’s something to be proud of.
